We've had some pretty yucky weather here lately. Lots of afternoon thunderstorms, which makes it difficult to shoot (and to work on the computer!). Luckily the weather has been pretty good to me with my preferred shooting time in the evening. This senior session was no different – the drive up was a bit wet, but the sun was peeking from behind the clouds when we started. The ground was wet too, but C. was good about getting a little dirty (though we did find some stones to sit on, including this strangely neat stone table):
you may recognize this spot from a wedding last year. I was psyched to shoot there again and do a bit of exploring, but couldn't resist this shot!

After two full days of shooting, I’m exhausted, but very happy to have some great images for the website! I had so much fun w/everyone, and want to thank our very talented makeup artist Jenn. Jenn and I will hopefully be working together at future boudoir parties!
Want to look as great as these women? Boudoir parties are available starting in September and are $2000 for up to five women, who each receive an album of 20 images. Hair and makeup is available for an additional charge.

Stay tuned for the debut of my new boudoir website!
My first session back from maternity leave was a great one! Meet my two Class of 2009 senior representatives. I love shooting rep sessions because I get to play and do some fun shots just for me. L. was a sport (literally) about working with me to get the perfect cheer shot, and E. was a trooper w/her trash the dress attitude by wading in the stream (yes, we do have some shots where she is knee deep in the water).
I’m also kicking off the new fall season with a brand new website at http://teyaphoto.com!
Please give it a look to see new session types and details and bunches of new gallery images. I’d love to hear what you think and will give the first two new clients who book an on-location session through the website contact form a complimentary digital file from your session (use it on your holiday cards or facebook or to send to friends!).
A swingset! What every three-year-old needs. With the new baby coming I’m really trying to get some photo time in with the soon-to-be big sister.

I had the pleasure of photographing little R.’s older brother at a mini-session day last year, and was very excited to see the family’s new addition. Mom, dad and I worked very hard to get R. to sleep, but I think it was worth the wait!

Last weekend was the Professional Photographers of Massachusetts convention. Amid a weekend of socializing with peers and great continuing education, they also hold a print competition. Professional photographers from around the state enter their work to be judged by Master Photographers on a panel.
This year was my first time entering and I’m happy to report all of my images won blue and red ribbons! These two, took home blue merit ribbons:

Delilah:

I must apologize for the lack of posting on my blog. My husband and I are expecting our second baby and I have been cursed with the misleadingly named "morning" sickness. I’m trying my best to keep my head above water and have been busy with seniors as their fall deadlines approach. I will share more of the sessions soon, but I’ll leave a preview today, J., who was great fun to work with:

I was so happy that I could squeeze in Baby G. and her family before she lost that sleepy newborn bendability! She was a total doll today and I’m glad I got to meet her and her mommy and daddy:

Little E., 5 months, in the botanical garden. Looks like so much going on in that little head!
