I think I will advise all my newborn clients from now on that eight days is definitely the sweet spot! My new little girl slept well for us, and, I feel like it might have been the best time to take pictures of me with the baby too: my skin hadn’t yet broken out, and my baby belly had shrunk enough where I wouldn’t have looked like I was still pregnant. When it goes right, newborn photography is so much fun, and I was happy to create artistic portraits that will look great in our house!
Here are my two girls:
and one of Corinna alone:

and Ainsley, being a goofball in Corinna’s basket:

I know many of you have been waiting for news, so I wanted to post that our new daughter, Corinna, was born this weekend. Thank you for all the well wishes!
Aside from a few loose ends (thank you for your patience!), I will be taking the summer off to spend with my husband and two daughters. I’m taking bookings for the July and later during this time. I look forward to seeing you all again soon and will update the blog with our summer happenings and Corinna’s "official" newborn photos.
Here are some pictures from the hospital:

I had the pleasure of photographing little R.’s older brother at a mini-session day last year, and was very excited to see the family’s new addition. Mom, dad and I worked very hard to get R. to sleep, but I think it was worth the wait!

More babies!
I love this little "and another thing daddy" expression:

and little baby, C., who came to see me in the studio:
and last but not least, twins!

I was so happy that I could squeeze in Baby G. and her family before she lost that sleepy newborn bendability! She was a total doll today and I’m glad I got to meet her and her mommy and daddy:

Yes, yes, I know it is muscle twitch practice or something like that, but it was so sweet and I had to capture it with daddy’s matching smile. Little T. is six days old here – Congratulations H. & B.! It was so great to see you again and meet T.

and sleeping snuggly for us (they always love the fluffy fabric…must be so cuddly):

Little S. is so cute! He was either really interested in me or interested in my camera, because he kept his eyes on me even through the fuzzy fabric.
and just because S. is a Valentine’s baby, some red

At three months they push up and flash that gummy smile, at six months it’s a social honeymoon – babies are great! I haven’t photographed nearly enough babies, so during the winter months I’m offering 50% off the session fee for babies between the ages of three and ten months. Email me at teya@teyaphoto.com to book your baby’s session soon – offer expires March 31st.

Meet baby E. His
parents and big sister are friends of the family and I was honored that they
invited me to take some pictures of him. He is already over two weeks old, so sleepy curled up newborn shots
weren’t in the cards, but I was able to capture him trying out his arms and
legs and plenty of those cute newborn looks!
