Three-month-old baby portrait
Baby L. and her family came out to my favorite little orchard for a very last-minute session before I head to California. I was more than willing to take a break from packing to fit them in. The weather was hot and muggy, but the orchard hill provided a little shade and a much-needed breeze, and baby L. was happy to enjoy it bare-skinned. Doesn’t she have the cutest smile and the coolest hair?

I don’t often show many portraits with pacifiers, but I thought this moment (and the setting!) were too perfect to pass up. It was so great to meet you three and I hope to see you and baby L. as a toddler when I come back to New England for a visit.

In case you might not have noticed, my little blog has gotten a facelift and will contain a lot more information. It’s still a work in progress and needs a few tweaks to the design and for me to add some content, but teyaphoto fans and clients will be able to read all the information on prices and details along with stuff about my life and session sneak peaks (and more articles and resources for photographers too).
In celebration of my blog progress, I’m sharing an image of a little cutie who visited me earlier this year for her second teyaphoto session and another image of this same cutie when she was only one. They change so much in a year! She’s grown up a lot since her one-year-old portraits, but there is still that same mischievous little spark.
I think I will advise all my newborn clients from now on that eight days is definitely the sweet spot! My new little girl slept well for us, and, I feel like it might have been the best time to take pictures of me with the baby too: my skin hadn’t yet broken out, and my baby belly had shrunk enough where I wouldn’t have looked like I was still pregnant. When it goes right, newborn photography is so much fun, and I was happy to create artistic portraits that will look great in our house!
Here are my two girls:

I know many of you have been waiting for news, so I wanted to post that our new daughter, Corinna, was born this weekend. Thank you for all the well wishes!
Aside from a few loose ends (thank you for your patience!), I will be taking the summer off to spend with my husband and two daughters. I’m taking bookings for the July and later during this time. I look forward to seeing you all again soon and will update the blog with our summer happenings and Corinna’s "official" newborn photos.
Here are some pictures from the hospital:

I am now very close to my due date, and have defied my doctors by not delivering two weeks ago. Although I have some very patient clients who have told me to take my time, I might as well proof my last few sessions before going on leave.
I couldn’t resist working on this little darling’s one year portraits! She was such a sweetheart in the studio even though mom and I disturbed her nap to put her in crazy outfits and hats and take her portrait!

I had the pleasure of photographing little R.’s older brother at a mini-session day last year, and was very excited to see the family’s new addition. Mom, dad and I worked very hard to get R. to sleep, but I think it was worth the wait!

More babies!
I love this little "and another thing daddy" expression:

and little baby, C., who came to see me in the studio:
and last but not least, twins!

I was so happy that I could squeeze in Baby G. and her family before she lost that sleepy newborn bendability! She was a total doll today and I’m glad I got to meet her and her mommy and daddy:

Little E., 5 months, in the botanical garden. Looks like so much going on in that little head!
