black and white portrait
In the effort to try to enjoy the summer rainy days while we are still in Massachusetts, we bought A. a cute little bug umbrella and she wanted me to take pictures of it today. When the rain calmed down enough for me to take her out and use my camera while holding my own umbrella we headed out into the yard. She’s at the stage where she likes to get her picture taken, but doesn’t necessarily like to hold still, but I’m happy to chase her around and also to catch a few moments like this where she pauses for a breather.

and she looks a tad wild-eyed, but that’s what a week cooped up inside for bad weather will do to you!

She might be sad that ‘it never rains in Southern California,’ but I think all the swimming will probably make up for it.

ADORABLE!
she is so cute!
great photos!
When you spend your first winter in California, Teya, you will see what the rain is all about! We do get rain believe it or not. However, as I type this, it’s 100 degrees and sunny. I love the second image! I promise you that you will get images like this in Cali. Maybe it will be browner than MA, but you will will get them!!!
What a great series, Teya! I adore her varying expressions here.
