senior portraits

I had the pleasure of working outdoors this gorgeous fall day (hope we still have a few left before the snow!).  E. & K. were great fun and I love how this shot shows both their personalities and their very different beauties.

I also have to say kudos to their dad who was more than willing to drag some indoor furniture out (my first willing family!).  And I think this chair provided a great seat for a family picture.

Nearing the end of senior season

by Teya on October 26, 2006 in senior portraits

I was happy to fit E. in for one of my last class of 2007 yearbook/senior sessions.  We froze a bit, as the high that day was 48 (I know, it only gets colder, but I’m still a Miami girl at heart), but as we got into things it warmed up a bit and we took advantage of the stunning scenery.

Although the yearbook deadlines for most schools are fast approaching, I will be booking sessions in the spring for those members of the class of 2007 who still want the selection and variety of outdoor on-location sessions.

Trees!

by Teya on October 20, 2006 in senior portraits

Lately I’ve been putting my seniors up in trees.  Something about the changing leaves and last of the warmer weather has inspired me to have a little fun and try to bring out the kid in them.  K. was totally game:

A. on the other hand was a bit more hesitant, so we found her an alternative to climbing :)

Twins!

by Teya on October 11, 2006 in senior portraits

Hello blog readers.  I’m back from a mini vacation in Maine and into proofing Chris and Jon’s senior session.  These two were so much fun and kept me laughing with their "twin moments."  Here’s a shot of them right at the end of our session.

The Secret Garden

by Teya on October 5, 2006 in senior portraits

I had a senior portrait session with Megan last night at a new location.  We found the most idyllic little spots to shoot in, including this one, which I love.

As senior season is coming to an end, I’ll be looking for reps from the class of 2008.  Apply now, as spaces are limited!

Fierce AND natural

by Teya on October 3, 2006 in senior portraits

This is Elizabeth.  I had a blast working with her and her mom lastnight shooting some headshots.  She’s
a natural beauty, but certainly could give her share of “fierce” – watch out
Tyra!

Don’t worry mom, we definitely got plenty of youthful fun
expressions too :)

Zen Frisbee

by Teya on September 30, 2006 in senior portraits

Marc’s senior session ended up with some Ultimate Frisbee demonstrations.  I love the intense concentration here – looks like that frisbee could be used with some serious Jackie Chan style.

And here is Marc in a non frisbee superhero shot.  We had a blast and ended our session well after the moon had already made an appearance.

Her own style

by Teya on August 30, 2006 in senior portraits

Fabulous senior session at my new favorite spot!  I had the opportunity to work with Nina, who is beautiful and definitely had her own sense of style.  We ran out of light quickly, but were able to work with the dusk.
