I know I haven’t posted enough lately, but I’m sure you blog readers realize I was busy in preparation for my fundraising event, Portraits for Progress.™
Here is a shot of the first group of the day – these lovely ladies are four generations, totally the kind of thing I was hoping for!

and here are a few others from the event:

I will update you all soon with the totals for the event. Thank you to all who participated!
Met up w/the sisters R. at the Boston Public Gardens. It was one of the first nice days, so the place was packed, but we managed to have some fun.

and the girls, looking glamorous among the grass:

Join me Mother’s Day weekend to support the fight against breast cancer. I’m launching Portraits for Progress, which I hope will be an annual event, to benefit the Massachusetts Affiliate of Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure: for $20, bring your mother, daughter, sister and/or grandmother for a sitting and Photography by Teya 5×7 portrait. All proceeds will be donated to Komen Massachusetts. Additional 5x7s will be available for purchase at 50% off the regular price. Help me make the event a success!
It was a little chilly, but this family was up for the cold
Two-and-a-half-year-old E. called the shots and led everyone through
duck watching, tickle fighting and soccer playing.

Yesterday was a gloomy dreary day in central
Massachusetts. It was so cloudy it was almost dark when I arrived for my
2:30 shoot. To make the best of the weather and to have some fun, K.
& J. and I decided to head to the town center and take some shots in front
of the deserted shops and streets. I had a great time turning the gloomy
clouds into soft pretty light and I think their wardrobe choice (J. is a
conductor and was needing some new head shots), made it even more fun!

I had the pleasure of working outdoors this gorgeous fall day (hope we still have a few left before the snow!). E. & K. were great fun and I love how this shot shows both their personalities and their very different beauties.

I also have to say kudos to their dad who was more than willing to drag some indoor furniture out (my first willing family!). And I think this chair provided a great seat for a family picture.

There are only two weekend sessions available in time for the holidays, email or call today to reserve your space.
It has been a fabulous fall – I feel so lucky to be able to capture memories outdoors in this stunning season:

Another set of three boys! These kids were so cute and happy to pose around their yard. Big brothers were as sweet as can be with the little one!

I had the opportunity to shoot this cute, fun family yesterday evening. The sky had turned overcast and I was worried we’d lose the light too soon, but the sun held out just enough and the cloudy evening was perfect for the fading fall colors. I like to suggest a few unconventional poses and it was great to get such an enthusiastic response!
